We can tell you Murter is one of the islands in central Dalmatia, but it would be unfair. Murter is so much more, and when you come to this unique Adriatic jewel, you will understand why. Populated since the Roman period, it is one of the places in Croatia that deeply appreciates and nurtures its tradition and culture. To tell you the truth, there really are no words to describe it properly.

Even though there are many beautiful locations close to the island, we advise you to explore Murter first, and then, if there’s still some time left, you can leave its premises. The island devoted to tradition offers numerous cultural events such as concerts, ceremonies, the summer carnival or the Roman parade. The beaches are fantastic; you could say this for the entire coast, but did you know there is an archaeological roman beach on Murter? This is your chance to swim in a beautiful Roman site, between the remains of the ancient Roman villas along the coastline.
