The beautiful, traditional Casa Foresta is situated in Mrkopalj, the heart of the Gorski kotar region. This house unites all the best from traditional architecture and natural materials with the modern features that guarantee a carefree vacation. The house can accommodate a total of 8 guests in its 160 square meters, although it is optimal for a group of six, since it has three bedrooms. The exterior of the villa is characterized by a lovely, lush garden and plenty of natural shade. The children’s playground is located in the middle of these lovely surroundings, making sure your little ones can play here any time of the day. The outdoor pool can be used for refreshment and relaxation during the summer, while the interior jacuzzi and the spa area of the house are perfect for winter days and a break from enjoying the snow. The interior design is based on tradition and plenty of local wood was used to give the house an authentic ambience.

Mrkopalj is a lovely little town settled in the heart of Gorski kotar, probably the most authentic region in Croatia so far. This mountainous region is spared from the massive tourism and gives you an insight into a completely different Croatia than the one on the postcards. Due to the blossom of winter tourism in Croatia in the last few years, the region started to develop its own brand and a story you will especially love.

The advantage of Gorski kotar is most certainly its isolation from the big roads, a lot of crowds and everything else mass tourism brings. This is a place where you can enjoy beautiful, surreal nature, protected nature reserves, forests, caves and amazing clear lakes.
