Veprinac is a medieval town within Opatija, which has a little less than 1000 inhabitants and is located at an altitude of 519 meters. Located on the slopes of Mount Učka, it is protected from the wind and is an interesting alternative for accommodation on the Opatija Riviera. Stone stairs in the centre lead to the entrance of the courtyard of the parish church of St. Mark from where there is a unique view of Opatija and the whole of Kvarner, as well as the mountain Učka in the hinterland.
