Nin is a lovely, romantic town 17 kilometers away from Zadar, the region’s capital. Nin used to be one of the economy centers in the old Roman empire with is saltwork, and the first capital of Croatian kingdom. Today it is one of the most beautiful tourist centers, but the saltwork and fishing industry form a great part of the town’s economy.

One of the best-known activities in Nin are definitely its beaches. Located in a lagoon, it is filled with dreamy sandy beaches with healing mud and wonderful beach bars. One of the favorite beach destinations in Croatia surely won’t disappoint you. On the other hand, Nin used to be a Roman town, and its streets are filled with monuments from its long, 2000-year history. Be sure to visit the remains of the Roman temple, and the little church of St. Cross, where you can dance with the sun, and listen amazing concerts on the warm summer nights.
