Labin is a town built on a hillfort on the eastern coast of Istria. A town with nearly 7000 inhabitants was the economical spine of Istria during a long time, basing its development on coal mining. The last mine was closed in 1988., and the town has faced an economic crisis. Since then, the tourism of the area has grown significantly, and is today one of the main tourist centers in the country.

After enjoying all the wonderful activities on the estate of the Villa, we recommend you take a walk to Labin. A charming little town situated 2 km from the coast still with stone paved streets and baroque palaces does not lack in cultural and artistic events all year round. We would especially like to point out the “Labin Art Republic”, a festival of culture and art that takes place in July and August for 12 years now. The town does not lack in interesting local restaurants with the local Istrian cuisine and fancy little bars if you want to have a refreshing drink the colorful streets of Labin.
