Vodnjan is a lovely little town situated in the south of Istria, Croatia’s green peninsula. The town has around 6000 inhabitants and is one of the cradles of Istrian culture and tradition. It is the only town besides Rovinj that still keeps the Istrian language, “Istriotski” alive, and its streets are filled with gothic, renaissance and baroque palaces, giving you an insight into the town’s past.
