Sharing a name with one of the famous karst lakes in whose vicinity it is located, villa Blue resides in a region known for its natural beauty. The house offers a great view of the small historic town of Imotski and the surrounding Imotsko polje (field) whose harsh karst beauty inspired many Croatian poets. The vicinity of the town means that you will always be within a short walking distance from a shop, restaurant or a local café you can soak up the local culture and meet the friendly locals.

THINGS TO DO NEARBY

While itself not on the coast, the region is only 25 kilometers removed from the beautiful pebble beaches of the Makarska Riviera making it ideal for day trips to the beach. Those that would rather enjoy lakes and rivers? Have no fear! The famous Red and Blue karst lakes are close by as well as the Vrljika river where you can enjoy kayaking. You can enjoy a game of boules, rent a quad, or opt for the wine and liquor tasting. For the history buffs there are quite a few monuments close by and the historic cities like Split or Šibenik are not far away. Those with a more adventurous bent can climb the northern slope of the Biokovo massif, but please make sure to be well prepared and carry enough water, especially in the summer. Otherwise, you might require the help of the Mountain Rescue Service, who are very friendly but would prefer to meet you over a glass of wine instead of a rescue operation.
