The municipality of Klis is located about twenty minutes north of Split, the largest Dalmatian city. The position of Klis is a link between the interior of Croatia and the sea, as old and new roads pass through it. Apart from its incredible view, the fortress is also known for the popular series "Game of Thrones" and has a history of more than 2000 years.
THINGS TO DO NEARBY
Since Klis Fortress is located in the immediate vicinity, known for the popular series "Game of Thrones", we certainly suggest visiting and exploring the fortress as well as enjoying the amazing view. Not far from the fortress there is a beautiful cave Vranjača which abounds in beautiful decorations and underground halls. A tour of the city of Split is a must, but we recommend a visit to nearby smaller cities such as Kaštela, Trogir, Primošten or Šibenik. If you want to do sports activities, rafting, canyoning and zip line are located near the town of Omiš.
