Kaštel Stari is one of the seven settlements that belongs to the city Kaštela. As its name clearly says (Stari=Old) it is the oldest amongst the seven, originally built as a fortified castle for the nobles and the residents of the area in the 15th century. As many Dalmatian towns its inhabitants are dedicated to fishing, sea sports and tourism. Even though it is only 20 km away from Split, it offers a great variety of possibilities and activities for its residents and everyone who visits the town.
